Archiving and copying last year’s material

It’s easy to reuse lessons from last year

To archive your courses from last year

  • Log in to SKIES, and click the “Teacher” tab.
  • Find a course you want to archive, then on the right side of it, click the pencil icon.
  • You’ll see a course editing panel open up. Scroll down to the bottom, find “Students can view”, and uncheck that.
  • Press Save. That’s it! Repeat with any other courses you want to archive.

To copy over lessons from last year

  • Make sure you’ve already set up your course for this year.
  • Log in to SKIES, and click the “Teacher” tab.
  • Find an old course, and click “My class” or “Period 1” etc. to enter into it.
  • Click any one of the lessons.
  • On the left-hand panel, look at the bottom, and click “Organize lessons.”
  • A lesson organizer panel will pop up. Select which lessons you would like to copy over. You can also click “Select all”.
  • On the bottom of the panel, click “Copy lessons.”
  • On the top of the panel, click “Other course.”
  • Select the course you’d like to copy your lessons into, then click “Transfer lesson only.”
  • On the upper-right corner of the panel, click “Paste.” If you wish to paste into a folder, you can also click “Paste” next to the name of that folder.
  • On the upper-right corner of the panel, click “Done.”
