Student accounts

Making accounts for your students

Option 1. If your students can sign on using LAUSD, PUSD, SGUSD, etc. logins:

  • Upper elementary students and above usually log on using their school email accounts. If using a Google button is problematic because you are sharing iPads, go to Options 3 or 4.
  • Have them visit skieslearn.com, or use the iOS app (Skies Learn on the App Store).
  • Have them click the red “Continue with Google” button.
  • Have them log in with their Single Sign On.
  • Have them click “Enter Code” (Web) or the QR logo (iOS), then type in or scan your course code. If you have more than one class, note that the course code is different for each class!

Option 2. Otherwise, if your students have other email addresses:

  • Middle school students and above usually log on using their school email accounts.
  • Have them visit skieslearn.com, or use the iOS app (Skies Learn on the App Store).
  • Have them click the “Sign Up” button.
  • Have them follow instructions from their email to create a username and password, then have them sign in with their username and password.
  • Have them click “Enter Code” (Web) or the QR logo (iOS), then type in or scan your course code. If you have more than one class, note that the course code is different for each class!

Option 3. Otherwise, if you have Schoology:

  • Lower elementary students usually need SKIES accounts made for them.
  • Visit skieslearn.com, and sign in.
  • Click “Signed in as …” in the upper-right corner, and select “Schoology”
  • Approve linking your SKIES and Schoology accounts.
  • Click “Create new accounts”, and set a password for the class.
  • Click “Print username cards” to print out logins + QR codes.
  • Students can log on by typing in their username/password, or by pressing the QR login button and scanning their code.
  • Have them click “Enter Code” (Web) or the QR logo (iOS), then type in or scan your course code. If you have more than one class, note that the course code is different for each class!
